    Successful Innovation in Big Banks - Is it possible?

    Innovation has become an essential element of business strategy. Companies will only survive if they’re able to innovate.

    The challenge for large banking organizations is not a lack of ideas but rather an inability to get innovation implemented. Between the forces of bureaucratic procedures, lack of inspiration and the general inertia of complex structures, companies often struggle to innovate.

    This discussion will outline the key problems that most big banks encounter and provide an illustration of how successful ones tackle the issues.

    DR PADDY MILLER

    Throughout Paddy’s career, he has had the privilege of consulting, in-company leadership development and conducting speaking assignments across the globe with organizations such as Abbott Labs, Anglo-American Corp, Bulgari, Henkel, Lufthansa, Volkswagen, Caterpillar, the United Nations FAO, Standard Life Scotland, L’Oreal and Abbvie.

    Through teaching executive programs in the U.S. and Europe, he shares these insightful experiences that enable individuals to acquire skills and capabilities to be successful in their careers.

    Paddy is attached to international programs offered by the business schools of Harvard, Michigan, Cape Town and the University of Virginia. He also had the opportunity to speak at the World Business Forum and other high-level conference and events such as the HCLI Leadership Programme 2016 and Economist’s Japan Summit 2016.

    With a longitudinal perspective to organizational transition, Paddy’s interests & expertise revolve around leadership and change management with a laser focus on specific issues of leading innovation in multinational organizations.

    Paddy’s experience has also led him to write two international best-selling books, “Mission Critical Leadership” and “Innovation as Usual”. His proprietary materials and case studies have won awards in various international forums and been featured in publications ranging from the Financial Times to the Harvard Business Review.

    Together with a team of researchers, he blog regularly on the topic of creativity in organizations at "The Innovation Architect".

    Terms & Conditions
    1. Confirmation of seat is upon receipt of full payment.
    2. To enjoy the early bird rate, payment must be received on or before 30 October 2018, failing which you will be charged the normal fee.
    3. Full payment must be received on or before 26 November 2018, otherwise your seat may be released.
    4. All payment to be made in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) only.
    5. All payment to be made payable to Asian Institute of Finance Berhad.
    6. All registration cancellations must be received in writing via email (events@aif.org.my) before 30 October 2018 and will be refunded 50% of the registration fee.
    7. Cancellation after 30 October 2018 is not eligible for refund.
    8. There is no refund if delegates fail to attend on the day.
    9. If delegate have registered and fail to attend on the day, delegate will have to pay the 100% of the registration fee.
    10. Replacement delegates are only allowed for attendees within the same organisation. All replacement notification must be received in writing via email to events@aif.org.my before 19 November 2018
    11. The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the venue, date or speaker, including but not limited to, cancellation of the event warranted by whatsoever circumstances or reasons.
